You’ve been working on an idea, you’ve built a project, but it never gets seen beyond the classroom or the lab. That’s exactly where most innovation stories end, not for lack of merit, but for lack of the right platform. This September in Dhaka, a stage is being built where the country’s young innovators can put their work directly in front of policymakers, industry experts, and investors.
Initiated by the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Bangladesh Innovation Fair 2026 will be held from 12 to 14 September at the Novo Theatre premises in Dhaka. Under the theme “Innovate to Market,” this three-day fair will bring innovators, industrial enterprises, academics, and various stakeholders together on one stage. What the fair will feature
The fair will showcase 150 innovations from young and experienced innovators, alongside more than 15 knowledge sessions and dialogues. Expert panels will discuss critical technological and economic issues across various sectors. A dedicated Innovation Hub will display emerging ideas and technological breakthroughs. Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is scheduled to inaugurate the fair as chief guest.
More than 50 universities, both national and international, are expected to participate, alongside more than 50 industry leaders and experts working to strengthen collaboration between academia and industry. Organizers are also expecting participation from more than 50 major corporate, industrial, and commercial enterprises.
Who can apply
The organizing committee has invited applications for exhibition space from individuals, students, researchers, universities, educational institutions, corporate organizations, industries, and multinational companies. Government agencies, international and local NGOs, small and medium enterprises, service providers, startups, incubators, and green entrepreneurs may also register. In other words, from a single student to an established company, there’s a place on this stage for nearly every kind of innovator or organization.

The fair aims to build an integrated innovation ecosystem to help propel Bangladesh toward a trillion-dollar economy.
